A Rainy Day | Nashville Children Photographer

Ok, so it was not raining in these photographs but it is raining as I sit here in one of my favorite coffee houses in Nashville.  It really is like my second home, or my office that I only have to pay for coffee to use.  This is one of my favorite kind of days.  Sitting in a cozy coffee shop on a rainy day, doing what I love.  With the earphones playing in my ears, listening to my favorite music.  I am reminded that what I do matters.  I don't just take photographs and then spend a few seconds making sure that they are good enough.  I look closely at each image and make sure that they represent the best in the child and/or adult.  It doesn't mean that I change a smile or make a tummy a little flatter.  Thats just not my style.  My goal is just to bring out the best in each person.  I treat photoshop a little like I do makeup.  I can walk out of the house without it and feel completely fine about myself.  But when I put a little on, I feel more beautiful and put together.  I use photoshop only to highlight the beauty in others.  Not to overdo it and add things that were never there.  Because I believe photographs should display who we are - with just a little added sparkle. Not much extra sparkle was needed with this cute family of 3.  They already had a sparkle that exuded all around them.  I loved spending time with them again and I hope they enjoy a few of my favorites from our time together!
