Seniors

I Love Nashville | Nashville Senior Photographer

This was one of the most fun shoots I have had in a long time!  Exploring my city with my camera and one of my favorite girls in the world.  Mallory is about to head off to NYU in the fall and there was not a better place to capture her Senior photos than downtown Nashville.  It made me remember again why I LOVE my city!

Sibling Sweetness | Nashville Senior Photographer

I really love photographing teenagers.  Especially the two I was able to photograph last weekend.  This brother & sister duo is not only amazingly beautiful but they are also just as sweet as they come.  How could one not be sweet when they have dimples like hers?  Seriously.  Just adorable.  I loved watching them interact together as I thought about my own two when they get older.  And again reminded of how quickly time goes by.  Hold on to each moment.  Before we know it, our little ones will be flying away too. Enjoy a few of my favorites...

Telling your Story | Nashville Family Photographer

I am really excited to start up something new at Trone Photography! It has been something brewing in my head for a while but I am finally ready to (almost) bring it to fruition. Before I fully announce it, I am going to need an awesome family to be my "models"! The theme will be your story and it will be about a 3-4 hour session. You will receive a unique video/photo slideshow of our time together.  This is a Facebook page only contest so go online and join the Trone Photography page so you can be apart! Qualifications: You must have one child older than one.  Other than that, age does not matter.  They can be older or younger children.  Cannot live more than 25 miles from Nashville.  Both parents must be willing and happy to cooperate.  (aka no grumpy husbands!)

The final 3 will be calculated by the number of votes received.  Then a "panel of judges"  (aka, not me) will vote on who deserves the session.

How to enter, etc:

1. Tell me your story- photo collage, slideshow, video, poem, story- whatever!  Be creative!

2.  Post it to my wall (try to make it in one post so it is not overwhelming).  If you cannot post it because it is too long just send it to me and I will make it work.

3.  SHARE the page and have your friends come and either "like" or comment on YOUR post on Trone Photography wall.  They have to "like" the page in order to do so.  The easiest way to do this is to push the "share" button on the left side of the page.

4. The final 3 will be announced on Monday, April 11th and then the judges will pick the winner!

Have fun!!!

Cheesy Senior Portraits are Out! | Nashville Senior Photographer

Like I said the previous post, these two girls really braved the freezing cold weather with me on Saturday!  I had such a great time getting to know these two girls.  I must say that Senior portraits have really come a looonnng way since I was a Senior.  Mine were cheesy as all get out.  Cheesy backdrop.  Cheesy poses.  And, cheesy smiles.  Now there is a trend toward Senior portraits that are more edgy, artsy and fashionable.  And, I LOVE it!  What girl doesn't want the chance to feel like a supermodel in front of the camera?  My hope is to give Seniors photos that they will proud of for years to come.  Not ones that you want to stuff in the back of an album hoping that your Mom never pulls them out.  I want to capture their beauty, style and most of all that young hope for life that somehow dies a little as you get older.  So, enjoy these absolutely stunning two girls.  Thanks to Mamie and Catherine for rocking this shoot!

Sneak Peek | Nashville Senior Photographer

I had a BLAST with these two girls on Saturday in the freezing cold!  They were seriously professionals braving the elements- even standing there in 30 degree weather with no sleeves!!  I am so excited about these photos and can't wait to share the rest of them with you.  I have been wanting to delve into the market of Senior portraits for a while and it is so much fun.  So, here are a couple of photos to prove how beautiful (&brave) Mamie & Katherine were on this cold winters day.

Cowart Workshop

A few weeks ago I attended a workshop given by Jeremy Cowart who is an amazing photographer based here in Nashville.  It was such a great weekend that really pushed me hard creatively and technically.  The time with Jeremy and the other photographers really inspired me to think outside of my little box and gave me tools to help me move forward in this fun venture.  I look forward to this new year and what it will bring for myself and this business.  Here are a few images from the workshop... Enjoy!
